Booster Club Minutes October 2013 Back
Tom Campagna, Crystal Lizana, Erin Champiny, Madison Sinkfield, Tyrone Reid, Dave Blonairz, Bob Jerard, Michael Smist, Scharlit Ako-Brew, Chelsea Ako-Brew, Alex Tidlund, Andrew Musante, Debra Morin, Nora Sinkfield, Kelly Holt, Maria Malmborg, Nancy Thurber, Remani Lizana, Angie Rivera, Ryan Gaebel and Gina Ferrara participated by conference call.

Allison Dwarska and Chelsea Ako-Brew from the yearbook staff asked the Booster Club to buy an ad for the yearbook. Dave Blonairz and Tyron Reid will work with the yearbook staff on the design of the pages. A draft will be brought to the next Booster Club Meeting. Motion: To buy a two page ad for $600.00. Second, All in Favor.
Capital Expenditure Update (Baseball)
Coach Ryan Gaebel is requesting an additional $1,000.00 to assist with building the Dugouts for the Baseball Team. The lowest estimate received is $7500.00 which is $1500.00 over the original budget. The Booster Club previously appropriated $4,000.00 to the Baseball Team for the Dugouts. The Baseball team has raised $2500.00 so far and will raise another $500. Motion: To approve the extra $1,000.00. Second, All in Favor except for one opposed and one abstention.
Concession Stand Update
Tyrone Reid gave a special Thank You to Crystal Lizana and Kelly Holt for all of their assistance. They have been at every game. They are the MVPs of the Concession Stand. Motion: To approve authorize up to $500.00 for Kelly Holt to purchase popcorn. Second, All in Favor.
Fall Raffle Overview
The Raffle was successful with everyone’s assistance making a profit of $5,200. It was decided to form a sub-committee to plan for the winter raffle to discuss how to get the coaches who aren’t participating more involved, having a point person to assist the coach, incentives for the kids to sell more, change the prizes, etc. The subcommittee will be: Bob Jerard, Tyrone Reid, Alex Tidlund, Dave Blonairz, Maria Malmborg, Tom Campagna, Nancy Thurber, Erin Champiny and Nora Sinkfield. They will meet on October 22, 2013 at 6:00 pm and report back at the next November Booster Club Meeting.

The Boys JV and Varsity soccer teams 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser originally scheduled for September 28 has been moved to October 19, 2013. So far there are 46 walkers/runners registered. Registrations will be on the website. 9:00 am registration; walk begins at 9:45 am with awards after. $20 for adults and $15 for students 18 years old and younger. Need volunteers to Marshall. Requesting volunteers donate $10.00. Everyone who registers will receive a t-shirt. Marshall’s will have a different color t-shirt. Sponsors are listed on the back of the shirts. $100 to be a sponsor.
Fall Award Ceremony
Ceremony will be held on November 26th... Kelly Holt will provide the refreshments from 6:00-6:30 pm. 6:30-8:30 ceremony.
Middle School Dance
The dance will be October 25, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Tyrone Reid will run the concession stand during the dance.
Fun Night Out Update
New Bank Discussion
We currently bank with Bank of America. We receive a lot of change and they charge a fee for converting it. Maria researched TD Bank. She will check into United and Citizens Banks and report back at the next meeting. Debra Morin will research the requirements for changing Treasurers.
Discussion regarding purchasing a Booster Club Camera(s). Dave Blonairz will do research on different cameras and report back at the next meeting.
